The Global Multi-Strategy Fund (GMF) from Victor Smorgon Partners has been added to the HUB24 investment platform, specifically targeting SMSF and high-net-worth investors.

Founded in 1995, the Victor Smorgon Group is a privately owned family office based in Melbourne. The group has operated in various industries, including agriculture, commodities, consumer goods, property, and global equities.

The GMF is the Victor Smorgon Group's liquid market strategy, investing in long-term themes and best ideas. The group’s portfolio was seeded internally in 2019, and the fund was established in May 2022 to provide access to Australian investors to invest alongside the group.

Joseph Sitch, co-CIO of the GMF, said offering advisers access to the GMF will enable Australians to take advantage of successful wealth creation opportunities it offers which has delivered a 40.6 per cent per annum return to investors since its inception in 2019.

Advisers can now access the fund on the HUB24, Netwealth, Powerwrap and Mason Stevens platforms.

Sitch said the GMF is unique as it has exposure to many themes, both listed and unlisted.

“Victor Smorgon Partners searches the globe for rewarding investments and we apply an operator's mindset to all investments, focusing on companies with healthy earnings and margins,” said Sitch.

“The fund’s ongoing focus on real assets and free cash flow fundamentals has allowed it to consistently outperform during periods of heightened volatility and economic uncertainty. Importantly, we believe that companies currently generating cash flow underpinned by real asset ownership will continue to outperform companies with longer-dated cash flows.”

He added that by working with popular platform providers such as HUB24, the fund is widely available to financial advisers to meet the wealth creation needs of Australian investors.
