Almost 300 finalists are set to battle it out for the trophies at this year’s prestigious awards.
SMSF Adviser’s sister brand Accountants Daily and principal partner Intuit QuickBooks are pleased to announce the finalists for the Australian Accounting Awards 2024.

The awards program will culminate in the black-tie gala ceremony on Thursday, 20 June 2024 at Hyatt Regency, Sydney, for which all tickets have sold out.
Individual award finalists include accountants and accounting consultants, auditors, bookkeepers, chief financial officers, mentors, partners, and rising stars.
The highest-scoring individual award winner will receive the coveted Accountants Daily Excellence Award. Last year, this award was given to Easy Super director Natalia Clack, after she was named Superannuation Specialist Accountant of the Year earlier in the evening.
Among the group finalists are SMSF firms, boutique firms, business advisory firms, start-up firms, networks, multiservice firms, and start-up firms. Firms with the best marketing programs will also gain recognition for their hard work.
Finalist submissions will be delivered to a judging panel of respected professionals and business leaders, who will assess each submission against the criteria of each award category. The methodology can be viewed here.
The judges score each part of the submission across the category’s criteria, giving an aggregated score. Several judges will individually assess each submission for each category, offering a blended score and assessment.
The combined judging scores for each submission for each category are tabulated, with the highest-scoring submission deemed the winner.
The winners will be announced at the sold-out black-tie gala ceremony on Thursday, 20 June 2024 at Hyatt Regency, Sydney.
The ceremony is an opportunity for members of the accounting profession to network with industry leaders and peers while celebrating the achievements of their colleagues.
Editor of Accountants Daily, Miranda Brownlee, congratulated finalists and acknowledged the exceptional talent and skills of entrants in this year’s awards.
“Best of luck to all finalists and we hope you can join us for a night of celebration at the awards.”
